The quality is very high. The padding is very nice but modest. It can make your sit bones a little sore on long rides but I actually am OK with that as I don't always want a ton of plush. Fantastic shorts. I have in several colors. By far, the most flattering fit of any bike shorts I have ever worn. Note that the anthracite is gray and not black. Great color but it is good to know as it is a bit different! Fits true to size. I size up to a medium in castelli jerseys but wear a small in the shorts (I'm a size 2 or 4, 24/25 in jeans).
