Awesome Helmet
By Sid Nitzerglobin September 15, 2011
Got one of these last year and have been super pleased w/ the fit, function, and looks of the helmet itself. Super comfy and very easy to regulate temperature from 0-10F gusty whiteout conditions (with a super light weight merino/poly balaclava underneath and vents closed) to 40-45F bluebird days. Maybe slightly big on the exterior profile in a size L, I have a relatively significant reduction in range of motion when using the helmet compatible hoods on either of my shells (TNF Mamatus and Oakley Karn) but I suppose that's a relatively common issue and maybe more the fault of the hood than the helmet.
So far I've been using some cheap Smith goggles I picked up ~2002 and they seem to integrate just fine w/ no fogging, vents open or closed. I'm actually looking to pick up some nicer ones going into this season (probably either Smith I/O or Oakley Splice if I can find some to test fit w/ the helmet) just for the upgrade in optics.
