Hey ry_5011520, Thanks for the question. When it comes to the Burton Mission Snowboard Binding, it would be better to get a Medium in this case as a Large fits size 10 and higher and you'll be over-ratcheting the strap with a Large binging on a size 9 boot which would cause the straps to break and possible discomfort.
