Wondering what size to get. I am 5'6 and weigh about 115, and I usually get medium. I have the Castelli knickers in Medium and love them.

I'd say an extra small...I am 5-7/125 lbs and while the smalls fit in the thighs and butt, the waist is too large.

small or x-small. See mel's rvw from 09Jul and my associated comment. I've not experienced the quality issues noted by others, but I am also careful when I put on bike shorts, given the delicate nature of all bike shorts construction, especially ones made from higher end fabrics. I also only wash my shorts inside out, cold water, front loader washer, and air dry. I've ridden in these shorts for 3+ years, have many pairs, and ride frequently, including 50-75 mi rides. The shorts are tight out of the bag, but they will give a bit once washed and worn. They should feel a little tight when first tried on. Get both sizes, try on, and return the one you don't want, is my advice. Good luck, and enjoy. They are great shorts, worth the money!
