The LX is made of a high-quality acetate, as opposed to the plastic O-matter that the regular Jupiters are made of. Acetate is nice because in addition to its more luxurious 'weighted' feel, you can also heat it up and customize the sunny to fit exactly how you like. Like a high-end Italian Ray Ban, essentially.

the lx is more because the material of the frame is nicer than the regular jupiter, and the hinge is a lot nicer on the lx version.
