I am currently riding with a Lazer O2 helmet, the unisize one (20.87 - 24.02 inch). Looking to buy a new helmet and interested in this or the Squalo helmets from LAS. I've never owned another helmet, but I did try on a Medium Specialized Echelon, and it was small. So I'm assuming I'm a Large on the Specialized Echelon helmet. How do the sizings compare to the two helmets? Which size would I need to get? Thanks!

P.S. Squalo by LAS is wider, didn't work for my small head but a really good looking helmet. I also recall the Squalo aloud for strap adjustment throughout the helmet vs Victory which is just around face/ears/chin. Hope this helps.

John, LAS helmets come in metric sizes, I own a S/M adjusts from 54-59 cm, or 21.25"- 23.22". Unlike Specialized these helmets are Very adjustable via the CAT EYE system (a dial on the back cross-strap of the helmet) I love this since it means I can tighten in the summer and loosen in winter- when I wear a BUFF. This helmet is super light weight- like Specialized, and has excellent ventilation. I love that the chin buckle is off the the left vs under the chin, and they provide you with a removable chin pad. These are seconds, so you may or may no get 2 helmet liners- Black one has netting over vent holes as a bug net and is for Winter- Spring. Red one is CoolMax and made for summer- it looks like it won't let as much air thru, but trust me I live in Tucson AZ and ride in temps of 104+, this liner collects your sweat and turns it into coolness. Note: none of my Victory helmets came with the Red liner, that I bought from a LAS dealer in Tucson. I did however get one Victory (other discount outlet) that only had the pad strips- like every other helmet out there and the one last one I got was missing the netting- but hey- it's cheap so who cares. Lastly, these helmets are very well made, comfortable and DURABLE. I crashed coming through a corner at 15-20 mph, hit gravel, skidded & rolled. While I do not remember any of it (And I'm glad) my concussion was minor and the helmet looks like I could keep wearing it for many years to come, which is more than I can say for my jersey and my gloves! Helmet wasn't cracked, just cosmetic. I have replaced it with the LAS Victory in Blue. Worth every penny and then some. P.S. LAS helmet liners are one piece removable so you can wash them and the company supplies you with extra velcro in case any comes off with wear. Go buy it!
