Probably to late, but go XL...I'm about the same size (6"1" with 44 chest, 180 pound in the winter) and with my extra winter weight, a base layer, and a thermal jersey, the XXL still serves as a parachute. I need to exchange while there's still time. For anyone else reading this, I'm consistently a XXL in all Castelli clothing...jerseys and bibs. But, for this vest (which was a great price for a super-light but not-so breathable wind-blocking vest), size down from your usual Castelli size. I must say, though, that RealCyclist makes correcting these sizing errors easier than any other company I've dealt with...if you've lost the original return shipping label just print the return label that is available in your order history, and drop it at a UPS shipping location. XL or XXL. XL may be a bit tight, XXL may be loose. I'd try the XL first.
