Are these the same type of barrel locks that Krptonite failed to adequately address when it was shown how incredibly easy it was to pick?

No, Kryptonite switched to the flat style key they currently use. Master and On Guard also use flat keys. I can't find a barrel lock anywhere else. I would strongly caution against these locks until someone confirms they cannot be picked using that method, if they can they are beyond worthless.

I don't believe so. Kryptonite addressed the issue after the fact and still used a similar style key. I believe this should not be a problem.
