Anyone know how this board is for speed and turns. All I have been hearing is that it is good in the park. I want to use it more for the mountain and that 2-3 jump down it. I weight 190lb and am thinking of getting the 160cm.

If I am to compare it to my vapor, it horrible at high speed turns. IF I was to ride it on its own, its manageable but defiantly has some chatter as its a softer wood core thats meant for park play, not ripping down the mountain full speed. If you want speed and burton, try a Custom.

Awsome ty for answer. Also, if I am 195lb would a 160cm be suitable or should I look at getting something longer. Burtons says its range is 66-89kg and i am on the border line at 88kg. My first board was a K2 160cm, but now that I have got better I am wondering if it would be worth going to like a 162-163cm.

Yes, this is a park/freestyle oriented board. NO, it is not restricted to just that- not by a long shot. The X8 features alot of Burton's high end features we see in boards like the WFO sintered base (fast) and the 10:45 sidewalls which make it easy to put the board on edge and are durable as well. I'd say if you like riding a twin board with a centered stance in pow as well as park, this will be a perfect fit. A review below mentioned it tends to get wobbly at higher speeds, but just weigh out your needs for a board and riding style, with how easy and fun the X8 is to ride, and the fact that's it's light, fast AND pressy, it's pretty much the complete package for the all-mountain freestyle rider. You'll get your money's worth.
