very skinny which makes it great work with. It amazing going from the big wide dyneema to this skinny webbing. its weird at first, i mean you can talk numbers all day long of how strong it is, but after a while you see the value of having it. you won't be dissapointed.

screw is so much better then auto. the hook where the gate falls into can be annoying so the higher priced keylock design is nice especially when your rocking a lot of anchors and multi pitch stuff. the size is great, doesn't feel massive.

a bit small for me, i like the quicksilver. i do anchor work and multi- so this just doesn't get used at much. for using with an ATC it is ideal, but its a bit hard to hook up being so small.

i fondled this guy and its just feels weird. id much rather go for an xp or guide. i didn't like how its only the single option. not a good call

i really dig it. compared to the trango traditional 8, it does a smoother job. the more boxy design really lowers friction. not sure that angus is too far off, but i will contest they are a good traditional 8 compared to other brands. but sure, an ATC will be nicer.

tried them on and they felt horrible. tons of pressure coming down on top of the foot. no i haven't used these but for those internet shoppers out there who don't have a gear store in their town; these ones don't feel good. if your a vasque fan and they work for you great, but they didn't for me. go with sportiva.

The black diamond apollo lantern has been very nice. Super compact, and it even has a battery indicator to tell you when your getting low on juice. hanging bar to use for night climbing, the legs are very dependable, I sat the apollo on top of my tent and it did amazing, around 20 feet of light in all direction.

very cool poppy ski. if your the park rat this will be great to learn on and get better. if your doing all mountain its great too. easy to do tricks and what not.

The cherrymax hammerhead sled saves your ass literally. after hours of sledding and everyone else is whipping out the icy hot, your still rocking. it may cost you a half months rent but its totally worth it.

Black Diamond ATC Guide Used this at the gym the other night and I really enjoy the breaking system. It is a good straight forward piece of gear. BD does it best. The loop is good for top belays, and multi pitch climbs.

The black diamond mesa tent was well enjoyed the other day for winter camping. Very subtle design. one gripe I had is how the stake straps don't cinch down. Thats a problem if your using for winter camping because you can bury the anchor but its hard to dial it in with out the cinch.

The vestibules are great, plenty of room for cooking and all that good stuff. packs down very nice. the spider pole system is weird at first but makes total sense.

The Black diamond apollo lanter gets 5 from me. Best part is the battery indicator, seriously sooo awesome. I stuck the lantern on top of my tent and set up camp, it was perfect. The legs are a little weak, but the shine is impressive. im stoked to own this now!

The fit is awesome. I am 5'7 and the medium is great. The arms are long but because the cuffs are so low key and they don't have the crappy velcro strap I'm happy.

I took this running last night because it was 20 degrees last night and it did amazing. Really a good piece, but know that when people are saying its better then the Gamma AR, be careful because this fabric is like...insanely soft. Like really soft. So know that the fabric isn't the ultra gnarly hardish softshell like an ARC jacket.

That said, the welded seams are bomb. The mobility is great. I usually wear a medium and this works great for me, whereas ARC fits big so I am a small in them. Thats all for now.

why carry a crap load of jackets when this does it all? this is seriously replacing so many of my beloved jackets. FACT: thats a problem because i dont want to let anything go out of my closet. plenty warm enough for me even though the SV is where your going to want to lean towards. i do like how this one has the shorter cut near the waist, hate feeling like im wearing a dress in these arc jackets.

tried the zealot and verdict on the same day and those are great for the deep pow, this is great for all around lovin'. compared to a k2 I felt like they are more responsive and hold their edge more. seems like everyone is going WIDER these days so as far as wideness goes your not going to be the top of the class but these still do great floating in the stashs you find along the way. these coupled with a BD 01 will make your 09 season epic.

if these aren't on my feet when I leave, I go NUTS! Great fit...they don't heat up like other merinos, they actually do what merino is suppose to. warm, dry, comfy...

totally proved my wife wrong. this and the 22 totally carried everything we needed for our trip of 8 days. Super nice features, the pack straps for the pack option are very comfortable and supportive. Just a super solid piece, sure I could have spent the same and gotten a 6 piece set of a ton of junk...but this thing is gonna last forever.

Doesn't have that nasty itchy feel like most wool, just straight up soft. Cut is nice, good comfortable fit and the inside of the sleeve by the wrist has this cuff which is really nice. When you put your hand through it's weird at first but definitely a good call. The logo is placed in a good spot too, I don't feel like I have a goat plastered all over me.

This came at a good time cuz I was sick of rockin' my Arcteryx softshell every where I go, time for something low key but that doesn't skimp on quality. Pockets are great too, one thing to know is that the collar rides REALLY high, like up to my nose. If that's not high for you then I guess I'm weird, I dig it though. Pockets have super soft lining, NICE job you guys! you nailed it!

Waterproof, true to size, and the zippers are well placed. I wish I would have gotten the full zip, but do what works for you. Great ski pant also, super light, no bulk. Snag it for sure!

Bring a little bottle of like Chulua or Tabasco and this is good. Most dehydrated have good taste but this was just bad. With some hot sauce it was all good though.

I liked eating this with Chulua hot sauce. It was pretty good by itself. Just stay away from their chicken gumbo, that okra will kill you! Great company of food though, easy to make, of course, and a good taste.

Great boat, It was very easy to maneuver and liked how long it was. Very good tracking and tons of storage space for whatever.

These are going to be your traditional stiff momma boot that is very burly and solid. the sole is your classic Vibram which is totally burly. They support very well on the trail and the lugs are great for gripping. I actually took them running with a pack on the other night to train for Rainier and it may sound weird but they were really great for that. Waterproof fabric, solid lacing, great boot. Danner may not be noticed like all the other brands, but it seriously is a killer company with solid boots. I would wear these over a The North Face, Merrel, Vasque, Asolo boot any day.

know that the probe isn't like super high quality, but at least its something. Shovel is very durable and light so if your looking for a sweet combo, go for it! I like that its fixed because i do snow caves.

Every time i get to use the grigri i am totally happy with how smooth it feeds the rope and lets the climber come back down. The cinch sucks, cheaper and its a no brainer why. This is the only one to get, also great for route setting for going up and down on the wall.

these are way better then oakleys, stay on your face and smith backs their stuff very well! good about answering their phone and taking care of any issues you may have. the lenses are great to have, had a pair break and bought a new pair in the exact model. I will only get another pair of oakleys when they bring back the original frogskin.

I had the alpha lt for a while and thought i would go lighter with this one. Super nice buy! I love how it doesn't have any pockets, it just makes so much since and the colors are totally weirdo. Great for the rain, snow, whatever, gore-tex paclite is a super nice fabric, don't think its not as durable as XCR.

I wish I had the hoody but the non is ok too. the outer top fabric has been so nice for blocking rain and snow. The bottom is a really nice breathable fabric which makes this great for ski touring and hiking. low key pockets, no weird sizing, its basically two jackets in 1! I like how this doesn't have as much lining as say the gamma which gives it a good comfortable fit, rather then cutting off the circulation in your arms.

I have loved using these for pretty extensive hikes and casual use. I like how they have you stand/walk higher then more shoes, like a Dansko. The event is really solid too, it will take a nikwax if you so desire, and does great with blocking out water and other stuff. As far as the size goes, they fit bigger if anything, so the previous review might be good for abnormal feet, which I don't think I have. I absolutely love the rubber toe, its such a nice feature and almost a compliment to the customer so we don't have to buy a new pair of shoes all the time. So basically if you want a shoe that feels light, totally burly, and waterproof, go for this one. I got the walnut and from the picture, it looks lighter in person.

So tough to set up and keep up. The vestibule is like a bucket, I would rather just carry a more bomber tent, I mean unless you go camping when there is no wind, rain, or weather problems. Let me know where that place is and Ill stick this back in my pack.

I bought this from a thrift store of all places, I was excited about the price, but was nervous about a used tent coming from a river guide service. Even though it was probably hammered, it has been so nice. In the snow it does really nice because the nylon goes up quite a bit to block out wind and the cold. The vestibule is way big, and I like how they designed the inside to sleep 2-3, but then have extra space for gear in the inside. I thought the windows were dorky, but they are actually pretty sweet. Your going to dig this tent, especially when your buying it new.

Very light and responsive. This is a good biner to use on top of the quickdraw and then a Black Diamond livewire on bottom. If you want to go wire this is the one to go with, I have used this one for years and its always been awesome. Plenty wide opening for whatever your doing.

I got so sick of carrying 2 bags for climbing, I just started to put everything in here with the rope. Has plenty of space to throw in 2 pairs of shoes, two harness, all the quickdraws, biners, and whatever. I have had mine for about 7 years and no complaints, tears, problems. Very easy to wash out the dirt, and the zipper is very solid.

Its great to have extra ear pads, they are super solid in quality with all the needed attachments. No problem with fitting, great for traveling when you just want to checkout.

fit true to size and super comfy. They aren't bulky either so its nice to be able to move around in but yet still stay warm when telemarking and fishing.

don't size up or down, this is great for running, playing sports, and just casual use. Super soft material and its a good athletic fit.

If you compare the weight to other carriers, this is two pounds lighter. The other sweet thing is you don't have to buy accessories! It comes with a sun hood that works totally awesome, and then out comes a rain hood with side protectors for the kid.
We have used this for about 3 weeks now and it did great in Moab, around town, folds up super nice and fit on top of all our gear in the back of our subaru. It has plenty of space for 2 softshell jackets, diapers, drinks, camera, etc...
The suspension is very solid and comfy. The waist belt is very easy to adjust. This is a definitely good way to go if you want to set the trends at the farmers market. The straps hold the baby really well too, our girl is 6 months and she loves being up and it puts her to sleep all the time.

If your phone is dead or iPod is dead, know this won't jump start them. I tried to leave a little life left when I was trying this out. It was great in the car on a road trip. There is a button to test the charge and to see how strong the whole solar input is. Pretty techy but if your going to take something rechargeable its a great addition. This doesn't have a ton of power so don't think its going to like save your life. Its great to put on the outside of your pack in a bungy storage and just hook up whatever you have.
