I bought the Thule about 5 days before heading to Western Wyoming for a backcountry yurt trip with 3 other ski bums. Knowing we'd be tight on car space, the Flat Top saved the day. Before I attached this to the factory rack on my just bought '05 Toyota Sienna (bought a set of Thule Fat Mouth clamps), I worried it would sit so low that the bindings and safety straps would scratch and dent my roof. No worries - even with super high Rossi alpine bindings - plenty of room to spare. This rack is solid too. Withstood backing out of my garage while forgetting to close the rack gate - it just closed on its own rather than being ripped off by the garage door roof. Fits 6 sets of skis easily (no boards allowed on my rack). I'll stick with Thule.
