Fast XC tire for hardpack

Hutchinson Python XC Tubeless Ready Tire - 29in

These are fast-rolling tires that work well for XC on hardpack conditions. They seem to work well on dry fireroads and singletrack, and even when it gets a bit sandy. They are not suitable for wet or damp terrain, as the small knobs don't hook up when it gets slippery.

I used them for over a year in Southern California. Never had a sidewall tear, or any burping issues (and I weigh 210 with gear.) I also had them on my hardtail 26er for local endurance racing. Wait until they go on sale to pick up a pair - at regular price, there are better options.

Pros:

- Soft, a lot of cushioning
- Durable
- Well-Constructed
- Overall Excellent Quality

Cons:

- Price
- Not as breathable as DeFeet Aireator socks

If you're looking for a high quality, long-lasting sock that's excellent in cold weather and very plush, this sock is for you! If you have chronically warm feet and need something breathable, try something else.
