I would go with the XL if you are not planning on wearing it while layering. It has an athletic fit. I wear a large and after a few washes it is actually a little small but still perfect for layering.

The only thing close is an XS which fits 43-45½, based on height. Scope out some of the Patagonia products they make infant and todler sizes.
