james--can't tell you about wind/rain, but the Pumori is 200 wt fleece and the Khumbu is 300.

Sleeves are too long

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

I loved the feel and warmth of the NF Apex Bionic. However, the Large size has sleeves that are around 37" length which is way too long for me. None of my other NF jackets are like this.
I went to the North Face store and tried a Medium, the sleeves were the right length, but it was too tight in the chest. Talking with the sales people there they said their biggest customer complaint with the Apex…sleeves are too long.
I called the North Face Customer Service to let them know. They are coming out with a 'new' Apex Bionic, but it will be cut the same so the problem will continue.
