Overall construction quality good. Beware of sizing: they are narrow and run small. My feet are 8 wide so, depending on the brand, I normally wear 8.5 and sometimes 8. With these Flips, I had to get a 9. The straps took some getting use to as the fit is tight. Initially, the straps hurt the top of my feet, but now they feels ok. I've been wearing these almost everyday for a month now, and they seem to be fine. One advantage of these Chaco's over cheapo ($5 to $10) flip-flops is the sole. The sole on the Chaco's have more grip and won't slip when wet. Disadvantages: (1) Price: sure these are a lot better than cheapo flip-flops, but are they 10x better? That's for you to decide. (2) Weight, these are significantly heavier than other foam-type flip-flops. The durability comes at the expense of weight.
