Highly recommended, on snow I've used this Osprey pack for casual slope skiing and day-trip randonné. The size is excellent, shrinking to nothing if I pack light, and holding lots of change clothes and equipment for the day-trips. I even went on a three day trip to the mountains. Living in a hotel I didn't need tent or sleeping bag and could have everything except skis and boots in the pack. The insulated drinking system actually works.
On bike during summer I've loved the ability to just use the hydration pack and packing a lunch and camera, or using the whole pack for longer trips.
I was very much in doubt if I only needed the 25+5 version, but the 40+5 shrinks so well that it's not really an issue for me.
Only negative thing I've noticed with it is using the pack while wearing a helmet -> if you're crouching forward on the bike or in a tuck position on skis, the helmet will touch the top of the sack. I'm pretty sure I have the right size and adjustment for me.
The hip pockets are a real treat. Camera, phone is always handy here.
Overall a fantastic, high quality pack.
