I am a pro patroller at Mt. Hood resort. This ski was given to me as a demo in the summer. During the summer months at Timberline it was a bad "mo-fo" a slush and crud machine. In the winter to follow we got good early snow and the Phantom did great until the good old Northwest pow came in. Too much flex in the ski made it difficult to hop in the breakable crust and wind packed snow. Then one day I jumped a 15 foot rock drop into thigh deep snow and bent the ski beyond repair. The ski stayed on my foot, and bent upwards nearly a foot off the flat ground. This ski is weak in the front part above the binding. The tails are fine but the front sucks. There is a lot of room for improvement, as far as materials used in the core and top sheet. I say "No" to Crystal!!
