I took this pack along with me on a week-long trip through Yosemite, and I was really happy with it. It had more space than I needed (Even with my bear canister inside), lots of convenient pockets, and it's definitely the most comfortable pack that I've ever worn (Though, my old pack was an REI pack from the early 90s, and before that I used external frame packs, so that's not saying too much).The only complaint I have is that at 5lb 9oz for the medium, it's a fairly heavy pack. But, that's a small price to pay for something so comfortable and convenient!

Amazingly comfortable and light

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Sleeping Pad

I knew that this pad packs down small, but I was still amazed when it first came in the mail. Not only is this pad less than 1/3 the weight of my old Therm-a-rest, it's about 1/5 the volume, and it's longer, thicker, and more comfortable.

The only downsides are that it's expensive, and it takes a lot longer to inflate than other pads. It also feels a bit fragile, but I haven't had any punctures or leaks yet.

Great for backpacking

Platypus Platy SoftBottle

I took the 2.0L SoftBottle with me on a week-long backpacking trip, and I loved having it around. When you stop to camp at night, you just fill the SoftBottle for all your water needs, and in the morning when it's empty you just roll it up and stuff it back in your pack. It rolls up super-small and it weighs almost nothing. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of gear, and it was only $10!

Awesome camp shoes

Sanuk Base Camp Shoe - Men's

I used these as camp shoes during a week-long backpacking trip in Yosemite, and they were awesome! After hiking 10+ mile days, getting out of my hiking boots and into my Sanuks was almost like taking off a pair of ski boots at the end of the day. These Sanuks are super comfortable, they've got great tread for scrambling over rocks, and they're super-light to boot.
