As many of you know, "Marmot" is French for "Groundhog". So when a colleague sent me the link to this website on Groundhog Day, and I found the gorgeous Ice Fall Jacket made by Marmot, I decided it was meant to be. I'm very satisfied with my Groundhog Day purchase, which was on sale to boot. It's silky soft and I love the weight of it: not too heavy (particularly for this relatively mild winter), yet plenty warm when layered with a wool sweater and a good polyprop undershirt. The collar is cozy and snug, making it comfy to wrap a scarf around it outside. The sleeves are nice and long, though I have to say the hook-and-loop closure is a bit scratchy once in a while. All in all, a lovely jacket in a fabulous green (can't recall the shmancy name of the shade offhand). It's my first Marmot acquisition but not my last; and I have a feeling it'll be before next Groundhog Day. NM
