Arc'teryx Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 27, 2009

Very comfortable and looks great. However I expect synthetic insulation pieces to be a little warmer. The fabric strech panels loose alot of heat and let wind in. Put a shell over it and it is better but it lacks loft to be a true winter heater. Perhaps better for active pursuits but I dont see reaching for sythetic loft jacket for a workout?

Cloudveil Koven Plus Down Jacket - Men's

December 27, 2009

I disagree, a helmet will fit in the hood, maybe not the biggest hood I have seen in a helmt compatable but I am sick of how big hoods are getting these days..so the smaller hood is good!

Cloudveil Koven Plus Down Jacket - Men's

December 27, 2009

I have the large and it weighs about 2.5 lbs. Unfortunately, I think it is to heavy and bulky for ski touring. The Micro Puff is the only way to go when it comes to stuffing warmth in your pack. I wish Patty would make a ski touring specific Micro Puff.

Scarpa Spirit 3 Alpine Touring Ski Boot

Scarpa Spirit 3 Alpine Touring Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 3 February 16, 2007

Pros:
Very comfortable fits a little higher volume than the Denali XT. Best boot I have ever been in for walking all day.
Cons:
Disappointed in the ski performance. A bit to sloppy for fat skis. They are fine on easy powder slopes, but get them in the steeps or in some tough snow and you are fighting to keep your skis in order.

Icebreaker Superfine Tech T - Men's

Icebreaker Superfine Tech T - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 5, 2007

This is the way to go for a base layer, all year. I thought it would be too hot for summer but not so. Amazing how it really doesn't smell no matter how much you sweat in it. It dries out much more quickly than a cotton tee and is very comfy. Don't throw it in the drier though!
