Cloudveil Switchback Softshell Pant - Men's

These Schoeller dynamic softshell pants are a great choice for all-around alpine use. They may be one of the most versatile pants made, since they are lightweight, abrasion/wind/water-resistant, stretchy and very breathable. Combined with a light or midweight base layer, their range can be extended well into winter (as with a recent March ascent of Mt Whitney). And unlike other types of softshell fabrics with included insulation, they may also be used in summer months (especially if they are ever available in a color lighter than black).
