The North Face Gore-Tex XCR came with a ton of great reviews. So I got it; I do a lot of trail running. The first and most important thing I noticed was the fit, its too loose, even with the women's shoe. I have to wear 2 pair of socks in order to feel like the shoe will stay on my feet. The length is fine, so I can't get a smaller shoe size and I do not have narrow feet either. Aside from that, the shoe is great. Awesome traction and my feet stay dry. Would I purchase it again? Not without trying it on first and then most likely not. There are plenty of other shoe manufactures that make Gore-Tex trail running shoes that I know will fit me better.
