My wife has had these boots for two years and has completed about 30 of the 4000 peaks in NH with them with no complaints. I purchased a pair this spring because of lightweight. They are comfortable out of the box but found they could not hold feet well on steep descents causing excessive toe-banging. Subsequent breaking in reduced this effect. Lack of torsional strength makes for lots of stress on feet and this is exacerbated by the soles inability to protect feet on rocky/uneven surfaces. No complaints about construction, but I retired them after a few hikes.
