I haven't completely broken into these shoes yet (but only because I haven't worn them as much as I should). I made a five-mile hike on a wet, muddy trail, and these shoes kept my feet dry and warm. They are actually much nicer than they look in the picture. They were a bit heavier than I expected, and they don't seem to be too flexible (but they are probably supposed to be more rigged to keep your foot supported). The front of the shoe is wider so my foot never felt cramped! I'm going to keep wearing them to completely break them in. Overall, I think you are purchasing good quality hiking boots.
