I’ve worn these boots for 6 months, and they have been great for me. In the spring with the grass is wet and the mud on the trail can leave me with wet feet, these have kept me dry. On a ski trip where I was hiking in with skis on my back, I walked through quite a bit of water and stayed dry. I’m a Gore-Tex Mountain tech and received these boots as part of that program for testing. I have only tested them on relatively smooth surfaces not the rough conditions that some others have. However, having kids in soccer in the wet Oregon spring, these boots have been very dry and very comfortable tromping over wet fields. I would recommend these for those type of conditions.

I use the Alchemy Jacket from Mountain Hardware as my everyday jacket. It looks good and is has a comfortable fix. The inner lining is nice and soft. In fact the entire jacket is soft. I am a Gore-Tex Mountain Tech and received this Gore-Tex soft-shell jacket to test. Since I received this jacket over a year ago, I’ve been using it almost every day. It is not too warm, so spring and fall, and even cool summer morning I put this on before heading out to work. In the winter in all weather except the coldest and wettest, this is the jacket I use. Good looks and a great feel.

My friends laugh when I wear these bibs in the warm spring skiing conditions. “But I fall a lot” I tell them, and these bibs are tough, and offer protection. They vent on the sides, so I don’t get too warm. Plus they are Gore-Tex Pro shell, so they breathe real well. I often ski with just shorts under them, but put on base layer in the colder weather. I’m a Gore-Tex Mountain tech and received these bibs to test. I’ve had them for about two years, and take them on every skiing trip, and they are going strong. The front pockets are conveniently located above the hip strap on my backpack, so I put my GPS and phone in there, for easy access. The sides vent all the way down, as well as up. But the best is that they keep me dry in the rainy conditions we often have in Oregon. I never ski without these bibs.
