First: I love the styling. The crisscross straps are ideal for me in hot weather and I love the decorative stitching. The sky-blue/reef color looks great on me and walks that fine line between pure pastels (not my thing) and dark solids (far from ideal in full sun). I just received it, but I can tell it'll wick sweat handily. What I don't love: the large really does run large (I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs.) and it's generous around the middle -- not where I want the extra. Still, it's comfortable and will be tremendously useful.

My second purchase in this skirt, but in brown

Mountain Hardwear La Strada Skirt - Women's

I bought the greenish color months ago elsewhere, and it is the most useful skirt I own: it's hardy fabric with soft lining at top & bottom, it has lots of smart and secure pockets, the convertible pulls make it perfect for hotter weather and running around. I snapped it up from Department of Goods as soon as I saw the low price in my size 10. I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs, and this skirt fits like a glove; I will say that it's cut in such a way that it emphasizes my belly in a way I don't like. Otherwise, I wear it to work, at work, and at play. If I ever find another in a third color in my size, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
