lets start at the begining
it was christmas eve 2011 i spent most of the night building a barbie 4 wheeler for th 4 year old and trying to figure out if it would be easier to remove the door frame from the studs or take the real honda 4 wheeler apart inorder to setup the perfect indoor magicical christmas morning grand prize display for my 11 year old. i gave up and opted for the front porch for the 4 wheeler. all night i could not sleep because i was sure some grinch meth head was gonna swipe the 90cc powerhouse sitting in my entry way.as i tossed and turned i pictured the hazy sleepy eyed pre dawn christmas morning with me proudly opening the door or sending her out side to shock and wow her only for her to see nada zip zero and me having nothing to make her christmas top the prior year. i cant remember what she got the year before but my wife pilled up so much laudry in front of the heater closet door that the lack of air flow kept the heater exhaust in the house and caused the carbon monoxide detecter to wake the whole house at about 3 am. i called non emergency dispatch and they said is was probably a false reading in fact he would bet his next paycheck it was false. not feeling eased at all and after a second"false reading" i asked if they would send someone out. when they showd up with there gas sniffing device they said it was off the charts on the carbon monoxide scale ( damn i wish i could remember the abbriviation for carbon monoxide it would make this story alot easier to type) they evacuated the house along with my crazy alzheimer veitnam vet pain in the ass father in law. 3 hours later we were givin the greenlight to return to the house. i had to march my kids right past the santa presents all laid out and ready.the gas company sent some chatty kathy over to talk our ear off on christmas eve about gas saftly and proper ventalation or some crap like that for 2 hours. its co2. well that has nothing to do with the 4 wheeler story. anyways the only way to get the quad steelin theif off my head was to wonder what i was gonna get for christmas. that sent me off to a light 3 hour sleep only to b awaken by crazy kids waiting to see what santa had brought them. all went well no theif everbody loved there stuff. as i was getting to the end of my pile o presents i noticed a nice rectangle shoe box shaped box. i unwrapped it and there was a pair of patagonia slipper shoes like these. my wife got them for me to wear as slippers but i wore them everyday until today may 24th 2012. i have washed them 3 or 4 times to try and get the funk out but that only works for a day or 2. i have worn holes all the way threw the soles . they are light and comfy but not enough padding to jump of stuff higher than 4 feet.
