Backpack held up well to light travel, packed a good amount of clothes and gear and the outer pocket substituted for a purse in convenience and organization. With this and a wheeled backpack, no checked baggage was necessary on larger airlines and this backpack was small enough never to be checked even on island hopper flights. The sternum and hip straps came in handy with extended hauls. Only caution is that the zipper holes were too small for any style TSA locks, so reverted to zip ties when the bag was out of sight.
