Great shorts, but not for everyone.

ExOfficio Gallivant Short - Women's

I bought these shorts to wear on my mountain bike over a padded liner. They're perfect for that purpose -
lightweight, quick-drying, stretchy, not-too-high but not-too-low rise, long enough in the leg and not too loose around the thigh. Unlike the other reviewer, I found that these shorts run big - I normally take a 6 in ExOfficio but had to exchange these for a 4, which fits fine. HOWEVER, the waist on these shorts is disproportionately large and gaps when I lean over on my bike. A web belt took care of this problem, but my waist is not especially small. For ladies with smaller waists in relation to their hips, these shorts probably wouldn't be the best choice.
