Tip on size

Dynafit Shore Short - Men's

Dynafit Shore Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 27, 2012

Just a tip on sizing, I have to return. Pay attention to size chart - I am 6 feet 1 inch with 33 inch waist and a Medium is way too big! Looking at the size chart more closely, a 33 -34 inch waist requires a Small! Never bought a size small before ever. Looks like good quality, overall lighter, more breathable than say an Endura singletrack, but cannot comment on use or durability.

Mountain Hardwear Effusion Power Tight - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Effusion Power Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 December 31, 2011

I have run in these over 10 times, and continue to be disappointed for two main reasons. The waist is too large even with a drawstring they still slip. I am 6'1" and weigh 162 and these are medium! Never occurred to return for a small!! The Dry Q fabric seems to do a good job for wind and precip, but it stops above the knees so lower legs are not protected. Not a deal breaker since you are running, but for the price similar tights have the whole front covered. Remaining fabric is nothing special. The tights do work in cold weather if only they fit. All in all, could only recommend if they fit you and are on sale less than $75.

Castelli Uno Plasma Short Sleeve Base Layer

Castelli Uno Plasma Short Sleeve Base Layer

Rating for this product: 5 December 12, 2011

This base layer seems to keep me unusually warm (in a good way) for such a thin layer. Seem to do better than similar merino wool layers. I also tried using it on trainer in garage under a short sleeve jersey for sweat management and it worked well there too. Probably get the long sleeve version. I am 6 feet 1 inch, 163 pounds, large fits fine.

Hutchinson Python XC Tubeless Ready Tire - 29in

Hutchinson Python XC Tubeless Ready Tire - 29in

Rating for this product: 5 November 12, 2009

I used these tires front and rear all of 2008, and brought them back for the end of 2009. They are a great tubeless 29er option, pretty light and can handle lots of terrain run with psi below 30 preferrably. Excel in dry conditions. No issues with the minimal knobbies on the tire. Ridden/raced mainly in New Mexico and Colorado, with 2 trips to Maui also. Set up on multiple converted non-tubeless rims with Stans. You get less weight than tubeless, but less hassles than trying to convert a non-tubeless tire. No burping, no sidewall cuts, not a single flat. Pretty long lasting and a good value.

Good quality running short

Pearl Izumi Infinity Long Short - Men's

Pearl Izumi Infinity Long Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 24, 2007

This short is longer than most as cited, but it is a wispy light material. The inner brief is unusually comfortable also. If running fast, you do not notice the extra length, and it provides extra coverage if wanted. I just ran in rain on and off, the short was completely soaked at one point, but dry when I finished.

Sugoi 42K Short - Men's

Sugoi 42K Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 24, 2007

This is a short, split running short, but it has mesh pockets in the back. Great quality, feels like it will last awhile also. I ran Imogene Pass in Colorado in these with a baggy holding extra fuel (powder)to mix at an aid station, and 1 gel and didn't notice they were there. Good job by Sugoi.
