Sizing snafu.

The North Face Venture Pant - Women's

These things are HUGE! I am 5'4", approximately 130/5 lbs. and ordered the medium short size. At first I thought they were the size they are to accommodate for any layers I wear underneath; however, when on a recent camping trip I let me friend borrow them (male, 5'11", approximately 170/5 lbs.) and they fit him perfectly!

What is up with the sizing, North Face?
