I'd direct you to check out the Accelero Jacket for this use. The Celeris is my go to for the descent on bikes (it packs to about the size of an orange) I wear the Accelero with an Arc'teryx Motus for cold weather and can wear it up and down. The Celeris breathes well, but not as well as the Accelero, but offers a bit more wind resistance.

It's not a direct comparison between these two since one is feathers and the other synthetic. Each insulation has it's good points. One thing to consider is the construction. The Atom LT is built without all the sew-through baffles which makes the face less likely to snag on the hundreds of exposed threads, and also offers a bit more weather protection.

I'd say a Stingray in Medium would still work well for you even with some layers underneath. You could also check out the Crossbow, which is in between these two but has just a touch warmer fleece in the back and shoulders, and a hood/collar like the Sabre, the storm hood.

So, I just pulled out my Gamma MX Hoody from about 9 years ago. It is still water resistant, blocks about 90% of wind and breathes well. But, my new Gamma MX has a much better fit, is lighter and the fabric is even more weather resistant. Durability? These things go for years of heavy use. It's my most used jacket, and I have quite a few. You will not be disappointed!

Washing these is part of the program to keep the performance at it's best; this helps both the water repellency and breathability. As indicated, use a tech wash(not detergent) and finish it in the dryer at med heat for about 20 mins to re-set the DWR. The factory DWR will help to keep dirt from sticking as well as water.

A couple clarifications- neither of these jackets are built to keep you dry when it's raining, especially in Seattle. They will shed light snow and a bit of drizzly rain. If you're looking for an insulated water proof or resistant jacket, check the Kappa of Fission SV. The Kappa is taped windstopper and one of the best values in the entire Arc'teryx lineup.
To the comment about all Arc'teryx jackets being GoreTex, that is completely incorrect.
And, the Atom SV has a bit of hood adjustability, the Atom Lt does not.

TJ. DO NOT USE the wash in Nikwax! there is a spray on version that you should use. Initially the water repellency that comes on the jacket is way better than what the replacement product will offer, so just go with it as it is. To keep the factory repellancy, wash your outerwear regularly with a tech-wash soap, and put it in the dryer (med heat for about 20 mins) the heat is critical to restore the beading. After many seasons, when your jackets don't bounce water quite as well, then it's time to re-treat with Nikwax or Grangers spray-on water repellant. Finish this with some time in the dryer as well. Don't expect this treatment to make this jacket waterproof; it will bounce very light rain and snow, but if you need to stay dry, buy a proper GoreTex jacket.

None of the soft shell jackets will be as long as your Theta AR (the longest of the Arc'teryx shells) because you want the shell to cover any under layers. The Venta MX was designed for climbing in cold weather, Alaska specifically, so it should work beautifully on Rainier.

I have this in a medium and am about an inch less and 10 lbs as well, and the medium fits fairly trim. I would suggest going Large for the Hyllus.
