Stoic will have my business for a long time if they keep putting out pants like these.
I got the overhang on a killer sale from backcountry. I'm a stocky, weird shaped guy so I'm always leery of buying pants online. I usually wear a 34/32 so I ordered the medium based on the sizing chart. My order got mixed up with another when I got it in the mail, so I called the ever-so-helpful guys at backcountry and they got everything straightened out. I mentioned to the guy on the phone my size and he recommended I go up a size to a large. Man, I'm happy I did. They were super comfortable right out of the box. The only issue was the length...a little long for my short, stocky legs. I didn't find any cinches, but I did find that they held a cuff like a champ. I wore them for my 15+ hours of travel from FL to Alaska and the cuff never fell! The fit is perfect...a nice little stretch where I need it and gives plenty of room for the boys. The extra button on the top of the zipper is nice when the belt was forgotten. I went on backcountry hikes through Denali for hours on end. My friend, wearing far less quality pants, was a bloody mess at the end of the hike. I, on the other hand, didn't have a scratch on me. Nice and cool during a long, hot hike. Warm at night...couldn't ask for more.

I bought this shirt in preparation for a July trip to Denali. When I first got it in the mail, I put it on immediately and was surprised how itchy it was. So I looked at the reviews again and saw that the more you wash it, the softer it gets. This is VERY true. I wore it 3 days and 2 nights while in the park, putting it through bus rides, long hikes and sleeping in it. It was cooler than expected during the day and warmer than expected at night. I sweat a ton and usually start attracting flies within hours of perspiring, but this shirt somehow stifled my usually stank self. This impressed me a ton...by far the best part of this shirt. The only con that I could find was that the back started to wear in the form of, what I call, clumps (those annoying, tiny balls of cloth that form on clothes that start wearing in a certain area). I'm hoping these go away with successive washes.
Sizing: I'm a stocky guy that usually is between a medium and a large for most shirts. I bought a large and it fits great along the midsection and a little tight in the shoulders (which I don't mind on long trips/hikes). It's a little lengthy, but not so much that it was annoying.

All-in-all a great shirt.
