Powder skis in Fernie are an obscession. We certailnly have some legendary days in the "powder triangle." However we also have rain in January and other unique challenges. In Fernie you can ski through three seasons in a single run. THus versatility in a powder ski is what we look for. I demo'd this ski under this kind of varied conditions. It ate up the powder, literally floating with ease. Yet remained very easy to control in the mid-mountain firm pack. The ski even performed remarkably well, for a powder ski, in icy conditions near the base. I did find that it needed a wider stance and certainly skiied longer than the Rossi S7 of comparable length. Not as "easy" (i.e. effortless - definitely requires more attention to technique) to ski as the S7 but I liked the ski and would definitely consider adding it to my quiver.
