Good Jacket, even though It wasn't what I expected

I got this jacket thinking it would be a good everyday jacket to wear in the winter (hoping a softshell could be that versatile). It is pretty light. Standing outside with it on with a t-shirt underneath in 20 degree weather I was pretty chilly. However, I put on another layer and it worked great for keeping me warm with a slight breeze in that weather. I'm sure if I was hiking/climbing it would be perfect. I am 6' 190 lbs and got a large, and the jacket's sleeves fit great, but the length around the torso seems short (barely reaches my waist). Other than that downfall, I love all of the zippers and pulls to cinch up the hood/neck/waist/sleeves. Please note that I got the green, and it is BRIGHT compared to the picture (I'm sure the other colors are as well).
