Love this SUP

Surftech Laird Tuflite Stand-Up Paddle Board

Rating for this product: 5 September 5, 2011

I bought the 11' version of this board as an all-rounder with room to grow on, so to speak. It's week one for the board and me in terms of SUP and so far I've not been disappointed. It has handled the chop of a windy day with aplomb and really cruises fast when it's glass out there. This is a fairly low volume board, it rides pretty low in the water, and that surprised me at first. As a beginner at SUP I definitely felt like this board was easy to use but is not something that will become boring as my skills improve. I like the flexibility that comes with 5 fin placement points and can't wait to keep having fun and seeing how far I can push this board.

Nice shoes, sort of clunky

KEEN Briggs II Shoe - Men's

KEEN Briggs II Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 13, 2010

Shoes were mostly comfortable out of the box but there was some ankle rub that took a week or two to break in on my smaller foot. I really like the footbed, as it is molding itself to my foot and feeling nice. The shoes are great for work, around town and tough too. No noticeable wear despite a month of constant use. They do have a wide toe box so they look somewhat clunky and wide. The lacing system is tough to work with as well, the laces are quite close together and really lie flat on the tongue. I would also appreciate a longer tongue as the one on the shoe always seems like it's about to disappear under the laces even though it won't.

Overall a really nice show, Keen continues to impress me.

Great quality and warmth

Black Diamond Guide Glove - Men's

Black Diamond Guide Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

I've had these gloves for 11 years of skiing (lift served and backcountry) and winter activities and have not been able to complain about anything yet. While I don't believe these are designed to climb 8000m peaks (as a previous reviewer seemed to suggest) they fit the bill for skiing, snow-machines, and outdoor work in very cold temperatures. The collar is great at keeping snow out and cinches down tight, it is great to be able to remove the inserts to help with drying and to use the shell with lighter gloves for some corn skiing.

All in all the best pair of gloves I've ever used. The leather on the fingers is finally starting to show some wear so it may be time for a new pair.
