Great in Extreme Conditions, but Poorly Sized

I just took these glasses with me to Mount Olympus in Washington state, and despite the incredibly intense sun on the glacier, these glasses screened most of the light. However, when we returned to the base of the mountain, I found that the glasses were much too dark for everyday use. In addition, the glasses were too big for my face and kept sliding down, and the retainer strap that accompanied them often fell off. I have a pretty small face though, and am a female, so I would assume that a male would have no problem in that area. Overall, these are good glasses for extremely sunny conditions, but were not as versatile and as sleek as I had expected.
