Marker Duke Ski Binding

March 11, 2012

Broke on my second run at Silverton, putting a damper on an awesome day. Only skied 5 days on these bindings before they broke. The heel piece needs to be made out of metal where it comes into contact with the boot. I would suggest taking a good look at the new AT bindings coming out next season before settling for these.

Armada JJ Ski

Go with the 185 if you are aggressive. The extra length will be more stable when your ripping down the hill, and the larger size will be better for you weight. Like Jamie said go with the Look Pivot 18 they cannot be beat!

Look Pivot 18 Ski Binding

Look Pivot 18 Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 November 6, 2011

These are the best bindings out there. These things are bear traps, I have never pre released while clamped into these monsters. Whenever I have ejected my knee has never been tweaked in any weird way. The only bad thing is when I ski in any other type of binding my confidence goes down. Get these bindings you will not be disappointed!

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski

November 6, 2011

DO NOT get the 196 is is a completely different ski than the 190 or 184. The 196 has a pintail design and will act aIot different than the smaller sizes. To answer your question go with the 190 it should be plenty stiff for you, and the length should work out fine for you. I am 6'2" 220 and picked up the Bibby this year and love it so far. I have only had it on groomers but it performs pretty damn well on them . For bindings the Look pivot 18 cannot be beat its a bear trap.

Armada JJ Ski

November 4, 2011

The JJ would be like skiing on a noodle for you, way too soft. If you want the JJ get the AK JJ its been reinforced with carbon fiber to make it stiffer. I also imagine something in the 190 range would be much more enjoyable for you. There are a lot of other great skis on the level of the JJ that will be better suited for your size. Check out the Moment Bibby Pro. What type of skier are you?

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski

October 13, 2011

Matt I was in a similar situation man took me a ton of research to decide. I am 220 and from what i have learned JJ is too soft for me going to be like a noodle. Chetler dominates pow but thats about it, and it can be unstable when maching... I went with the Bibby's cause they are stiffer, and I have talked to some bigger guys that swear by them. I have yet to ski on them, but they arrive tomorrow. But they are for sure good in the pow, they have camber, and are stiff enough to charge hard and handle variable snow. They are not going to be great in moguls but what wide wasted ski is?
