Fabric not holding up

Billabong Short Stuff Short - Women's

I got these for a tropical trip and loved them! Good length and room for my large be-hind... the ultra-wide waist band is a little loose since I have no hips. But all this and I still wore them tons! BUT after 5-8 wears (and maybe 3 washes...) the fabric is already a bit see-through. Other than that quality is good. These won't last till the summer and will be much too soon be relegated to at home wear only and that is too bad...
