The North Face Chromium Thermal Softshell Jacket - Men's

Since the other reviews have done a great job at detailing how warm this jacket is (which is why I purchased it) and since I have to wait until my Christmas trip to the mountains to test it, I'll stick with the sizing. A prior reviewer mentioned that it runs smaller than other North Face jackets. I don't have any other products of theirs to compare it to, but a small fits my 5'6, 135 lb frame perfectly. The chest is roomy enough for a full, unrestricted range of motion (even with a couple layers underneath), yet not so much that it just hangs on the torso. The arm length is spot on, but due to the thickness (and weatherproofing wizardry) of the material, there's some mildly uncomfortable bunching at the inner elbows when I bend my arms past 90 degrees. Since it felt the same wearing two layers under it as did with just a t-shirt, I wager that's simply the (small) price to pay for such a versatile garment, and not a reflection on sizing (or my less than beefy arms). The in-pocket access to the hem cinch is a nice feature, and really helps the jacket to both stay in place and fit my frame better. Overall it has a nice, streamlined look to it that doesn’t seem at all bulky. On another note, I ordered this at 10:00 on a Tuesday night. 45 minutes later I got an email saying my order had been shipped! Keep it up guys. It looks like I'll be putting your sticker on my car after all.
