Bought this in Greenback and the SL Pants in Carbide to replace aging and leaky Patagonia Rain Shadow top and bottom. So far, have used it for one 4-day backpack trip with rain half the time and 2 14er summits with rain on one of them. Expensive but extremely well engineered. Also:
- No unnecessary pockets or doodads. It's meant to be light as a shell, over something else with pockets, so I see no need for an inside pocket. Same for the pants.
- Fit and dimensions are spot on. I'm 5'9" and around 160 and normally wear a 40R jacket and 32x30 or 33x30 pants. This jacket is trim but not tight and has excellent freedom of movement.
- Hood: About the best I've seen for with and w/o a helmet. The tabs and cords give perfect fore & aft adjustment, and excellent field of view w/o a helmet.
- Will review the pants later, but they are the same excellent quality and perfect fit for me.
