Airblaster Finisher Jacket - Men's

Airblaster Finisher Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2012

This jacket is really nice, it looks great and it comfortable and functional. It has no insulation which makes it good for warmer weather but I got it in a slightly bigger size (5'6" 140 pounds I got size medium) and I have enough room for plenty of layers and the jacket is great for really cold weather too. The 10k waterproofing definitely keeps the water out and the pit zips provide some extra breathability. I have worn it 7 times on the slopes and have taken plenty of falls and it is holding up 100% with no signs of wear.

I have also gotten several complements on it (I got it in purple).

Great jacket, I recommend it.

Warm

Celtek Blunt Glove

Celtek Blunt Glove

Rating for this product: 3 January 8, 2012

I was riding in warmer southern PA conditions (40-50 degrees) and at the end of the day the inside of these gloves was totally saturated with sweat. These gloves are pretty waterproof and warm. I wouldn't recommend them for hotter days. They would probably be better for days around 20 degrees or if you have hands that usually get cold often. Otherwise you will sweat too much.

As for the fit, these gloves are not really bulky for how warm they are and they are flexible and functional for strapping in and that sort of thing. The palm grip is good enough, but not as much as pipe gloves (it's leather).
Also, the "collar" around the wrist is not very tight but thats not a big deal. They seem to be decent overall quality.

My least favorite part of these gloves is that the liner is not stitched or secured inside the glove so when you take the gloves off the liner turns inside out and it is hard to put the glove back on. Also it caused my hands to start to slip out of the gloves when i am holding onto the J-Bar (T-bar, rope tow, etc)

Loft Skinny

Volcom Loft Skinny Jean - Men's

Volcom Loft Skinny Jean - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2012

I am 5'6" and 140 pounds and these pants fit pretty well in medium. Slightly baggier fit for my size but it is still a little slim and kinda tight around the boot. Not a ridiculous amount of bunching but I definitely have some room. If you are a similar size to me and you want a really super skinny look then go for the small. They are made from a material that looks like regular pants but it is still super water proof. Comfortable too and seems to be of good quality.

As for the color, the moss isn't as light as the picture shows. It is slightly darker and a bit more tan whereas some of the pics make them look almost stone/light greyish colored. And they also have a green hue when in certain lights but for the most part are khaki.

Nice pants overall.

Technine Lucas Magoon Pro Snowboard Binding

October 11, 2011

You can get winged highbacks on several other Technine bindings such as the Element. You can also get them on the Burton Cobrashark and Burton Malavita (they don't have it on dogfunk but I have seen it before).

Rome Artifact Snowboard

September 26, 2011

150 is the size I would go with. It will be more versatile but still soft and good for pressing and all that good stuff. As for the bindings, the 150 would also be better since it has a wider waist width. I think the large binding with size 12 boots should work. If you could stand going to a 152, the Capita Stairmaster comes in a Wide so that would definitely fit your boot and it is a very similar board to the Artifact. It's a soft cambered jib board that also comes with a low price tag ($339). Plus it you order it off of DogFunk you get an awesome DVD (Capita: Defenders of Awesome) for free. If you are, however, set on the Artifact then a 150 would be okay.

Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard

September 26, 2011

Hey I am also 5'6" and about 140 pounds. Although I am not quite sure whether I am going to go for this board or the Arbor Draft, I do know that I am going to get a size 150. A 150 will just be a little bigger and be more versatile while not sacrificing the ability to press and do rails. The Artifact Rocker is a soft board so it will be easy to press even in a slightly larger size, and I know from personal experience you do NOT want a board that is too small. This will just cause a lack of pop and it will be way too easy to go "over the handlebars" on presses. So basically the larger size will give you more pop, more stability, better jumping, better carving, and will not sacrifice anything. If you REALLY don't want to get the 150, AT LEAST go for the 147, you may be sorry if you go smaller. While you may be able to do the same stuff, it will be more difficult and not as fun. Plus the 150 looks really sick but that's just my opinion. =)

Nomis Connected Rocker Snowboard

Board size really depends on weight but if you have a fairly average build for your height than the 144 would be great.

K2 Snowboards WWW Rocker Snowboard

September 3, 2011

K2 WWW, Ride Crush, or Arbor Draft?
I am trying to decide between these 3 options. I am a decent all mountain rider and have the basics of park down (Boardslides, 180 on/off boxes, small down rails, etc.) but I really want to spend a lot of time in the park this year and want a board that will help me progress fast. Which board do you think would be best. Also can you recommend a binding ( I wear size 9 thirtytwos)?

Thanks

Capita Horrorscope FK Snowboard

Yeah since you are really light weight you should go with the smallest size (145) if you are getting this board.

Gnu Park Pickle BTX Snowboard

August 29, 2011

I would definitely get the 150 if you do mostly park. It would be easier to maneuver. I weigh 140 pounds and I am getting a 147 WWW so yeah a 153 is kinda big for park riding. If you have the money I say downsize.
