Beautiful Jacket!

Norrøna Falketind Dri 3 Jacket - Women's

I've had my eye on the Norrøna products for a couple months just waiting for a sale and when backcountry had the 15% off I jumped on this jacket! I am SO glad I did. This jacket is an awesome rain technical shell! It's lightweight, waterproof, packable, got awesome harness pockets, and such an amazing fit! The brand jackets do run a little big just for reference, mostly so layers can go under. I'm 5'4" and about 125 and the small is the perfect size to go over a fleece. The orange peel color is a spectacular red, rather than an orange color (think blood orange maybe?). The seams are fully taped (and wonderfully I might add) and the zippers are waterproof. I can't wait to try this thing out where it rains more!
Fortunately for me it's been raining since I got it in the mail!

Love the green!

Arc'teryx Strato Fleece Jacket - Women's

I got this jacket in green and I love it! I get so many compliments on it! I bought it as an extra layer when I moved to Alaska. It does let some wind through and it's not a fluffy fleece, but it's a wonderful bright vibrant green! The wrists are snug which is also a plus. My only advice is don't go a size up, it'll be huge!

Toasty warm but not recommended

The North Face Greenland Zip II Boot - Women's

When I moved to interior Alaska, I bought these boots in anticipation for the common -40 and -50 below. At the first wear at -30, these kept my feet really toasty and continued to do so. But after a week I ended up having something like an allergic reaction to something in the boots, and I got calluses on my shins.Tried wearing them a couple times and got the same result every time. Had to return them. If you've got sensitive skin, these aren't the boots for you.
