I'm deciding between this and the Stohlquist BetSEA. They seem like two very similar items from the same company at the same price point. Are the only major differences the entry method & thickness? What is sacrificed in the kitty (besides a few ounces of buoyancy) to get those features at the same price at the BetSEA?

Is this jacket windproof? I'm looking for a wind/waterproof outer layer so I can start running this winter. I live in Upstate New York where the average low hovers between 10 F and 25 F for much of the winter. Will this jacket meet my needs?
