Your old high backs were just broken in a little bit. Union has been using the triplezone high backs for a few years now. triplezone meaning its stiffer on the bottom, than gets softer for the other two zones.

Definitely go with the L/XL, because if you went with the M/L you would have to have the strap settings on as far as they would go, and you don't want to do that unless you have to.

These bindings are so sick, The EVA makes the whole binding float so your base plate isn't actually on the board, not completely at least, the magnesium ratchets are quick in and out, but the toe strap ratchet is a little difficult to press in all the way. The high back is comfy, along with the gas pedal foot bed, which is also EVA. And last but definitely not the least is the bright green, not a chance you couldn't recognize me from aways away.. if that makes sense

You would definitely be better off with the 147 if it was between the 144 and 147. I'm 2 inches shorter than you and 20 pounds left and I would go for the 147, so I'd recommend the 150 for you.

Sick Jacket

This jacket is so awesome, almost all of the colors are bright and vibrant, unfortunately i'm 5'3 so the XS was still pretty huge on me, I would have preferred it be a bit smaller, but now I love how it fits. It's got lots of good features like a pow skirt, a little bit of insulation, and sick style. The insulation keeps your alot warmer, but you'll definitely want to layer up on really cold days. One thing that i wish it could have is wrist gaitors. Although still sick jacket, you will not be disappointed.

The difference between twin and directional twin. Twin boards are 100% symmetrical, The stance is centered, the flex is even, and the sidecut is radial. Directional twins have twin tips, sometimes a centered stance, but the flex is directional and/or the sidecut is progressive. Twins are found on most freestyle boards, as directional twins on most all-mountain boards.
