It took me a while to land on this shoe as a clear winner, but I'm really happy with my decision. I had read that sizing with the FiveTens can be trickysome too small and some too big, so I first tried the Impact (mens) in a 6 and a 6.5. Neither worked, and it turned out it wasn't a sizing issueI found them way too stiff to be comfortable, and the tops of my toes kept hitting the top of the toe box. Ick. This shoe was much more flexible all around (and much more cool lookingthe mens Impact and womens Karvers both look like "special" orthopedic shoes), and still sticky enough to keep me on my Crank Brothers flat pedals and provide me with good support. I'm normally a womens size 8 and have a high arch, and find that the Freerider mens size 6 fit perfectly. Yay FiveTen!
