Its a softshell, its not supposed to be warm... Its a technical jacket for alpine conditions..layer under it... Undertsand what a product is before you buy it and youll be happier. As to saying this offers no protection from the elements that is an absolute lie. It is fully windproof, and fairly waterproof as well.

This would be an amazing jacket, except the hood is not helmet compatible. I do not understand why TNF would not make this jacket as such..it is completely ludicris, that this jacket intended for foul weather, backcountry ski-mountaineering, alpine climbing, etc cant fit over a helmet. Why would they design it this way... It makes no sense? Unless youre doing easy winter climbs, or snowshoeing, this jacket is basically useless (unless you dont beleive in wearing a helmet climbing or skiing then its fine a guess) A jacket that should be 5 stars will sadly have to be rated as 3. Please fix the hood issues.
