I use these rotors with all my bikes w/ Shimano calipers. I like the fact that you get the hardware you need to make it work.

Almost perfect for XC, Almost...

Six Six One Sub Gear - Short-Sleeve

Six Six One Sub Gear - Short-Sleeve

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2011

I got this shirt after seeing a buddy eat it on some rocks and we used everything in my first aid kit to patch up his shoulder. This shirt protects you shoulders an sternum pretty well. I would give it a perfect 5 star rating if it had just a bit of protection for your back/spine. I've worm it in 105 degree humid Missouri wilderness and although the shirt is very tight it's not too hot for the benefit. It's helped me on several occasions that I graze a tree with my shoulder slaloming through wooded single track. It's not going to keep you out of a figure 8 if you pound into something with you collar bone but it helps with the milder hits. I don't do downhill but I can't imagine this is going to do much for you in a 35 mph butt over bars calamity.

Simply Bad A$$.....

Fox Racing Shox 32 TALAS 29 120 FIT Terralogic Fork

Fox Racing Shox 32 TALAS 29 120 FIT Terralogic Fork

Rating for this product: 5 August 30, 2011

I upgraded the stock spring shock on my Rockhopper with this fork and all I can say is that although it was some serious coin, it certainly resulted in putting a huge smile on my face. Downhills are not nearly as brutal and the tracking on a corner is amazing. I cut 5 minutes off my previous best lap at my favorite local trail after putting this fork on my bike. The Terralogics is simply psychic when you pedal. After setting the sag at 100psi and dialing it in, Terralogics is set to about 5 clicks out right now which gives me just the right amount of low speed plush and incredible climbing pedal when you drop the front end from 120 to 95mm of travel. The Kashima coating and black color looks amazing on my bike (Finally a NON-White Fox on my local trail and I own it!). The 15mm axle is super rigid. I can't say enough good things about this fork. Simply fantastic for aggressive XC and All mountain. If you have the coin and the need, buy immediately.

Oakley Jerseys are the best.

Oakley Line Jersey - 3/4-Sleeve - Men's

Oakley Line Jersey - 3/4-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 6, 2011

I have 3 or 4 Oakley Jersey's and love them. They are durable, cool in the 100F heat with the mesh sides, long enough so your buds don't have to follow a plumber down the trail and the integrated glasses wipe keeps your specs sweat free. The sizes are pretty true with plenty of room for elbow pads and light xc/mountain armour.

Sweet Bars....

Easton Havoc Handlebar

Easton Havoc Handlebar

Rating for this product: 5 August 6, 2011

I replaced the stock bars on my Rockhopper with these wide bars. I'm not a tall guy but have pretty broad shoulders and the 540mm wide set just wasn't doing it. Not to mention that with the addition of a Garmin 800 and the Command Post lever for my seat, things were pretty crowded in the cockpt area. These bars cured all issues. I thought I would cut them down a little but like them just the way they are!

Works great with Shimano XT.

Formula Hardware & Rotor - 180mm

Formula Hardware & Rotor - 180mm

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2011

I bought this rotor to upgrade the front end of my Rockhopper from 160mm. I also bought the Shimano XT Deore Dual Control setup to go with it and the whole thing is very sweet. I can now dive into a corner and shut down my 230lb butt as needed.

Five Ten Impact 2 Low Shoes DO NOT USE

Five Ten Impact 2 Low Shoes DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2011

I bought these shoes for when I ride the more technical trails and the ability to bail or easily put a foot down gives me a little more confidence than clipless. These shoes plus my Dark cycle Arachnids are such a phenomenal combo that they are almost as good as clipless with the only shortfall being the slight difference in the sole rigidity you get in a clipless shoe. However, I can wear these to and from the trail and not sound like a horse in the process.

Protection Exceeds Cons

Fox Racing Launch Short - Men's DO NOT USE

Fox Racing Launch Short - Men's DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 May 18, 2011

First off, I think the additional padding in these liner shorts is just enough to prevent bruises to you hips and thighs in the event of a crash while also allowing good movement. As for the Chamois, it's not meant to replace your roadie bibs for a 60 miler on the open road. I typically do about 12-20 miles XC Singletrack that can be 50/50 climbing and Downhill and I haven't had a problem with it. I'm out of the saddle a lot in those cases so it's cushy enough for me. The low rise waist is nice but in some cases allows for MTB shorts with Velcro to rub a little. Shouldnt be a big deal if I tuck my shirt whe I wear those.
