Salomon Shogun Ski

February 19, 2012

Is this a stiff ski?

Currently I am on '09-'10 Armada El Rey skis, I like them, but they are too flexy for me.

I want a more aggressive ski, would this be a good fit? I want to be able to ski absolutely everything, all snow conditions, all places on the mountain, send small/medium drops, with an emphasis on tree skiing. Is this ski a good choice?

My skis now have cap construction, I wanted to go to sidewall construction for better edge hold on harder surfaces, but would this ski do the job?

Thanks!

Armada TST Ski

October 29, 2011

Right now I am debating between this ski, the Salomon Shogun, and the Blizzard Cochise. Time wise, I ski about 35% groomers, 35% trees/glades, and the rest in powder. I am leaning towards the TST or Shogun. What would you recommend?

Armada TST Ski

Good tree ski?

I ski in the glades a lot here on the east coast, would these skis do well in the woods?

I also ski groomers and love to hit the pow hard when the jay cloud (jay peak, vt) gives us 18" of fluffy white. Seems to me these skis would be great for groomers, pow, and whatever else I could throw at them.

Any other recommendations for similar skis that might perform well in the woods/everywhere else?

Thanks guys

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles

February 18, 2011

Is the inside of the goggles (i.e. the inside of the lense) as sensitive to the touch as oakley lenses? I like oakleys but am turned off by the fact the the lenses are so delicate, i really like these goggles but dont want to get them if they have a similar problem.
