Next year's model has a 2mm wider waist and early rise for a little more pow performance, so I'm waiting for next season to get my pair. I saw next year's model at my local ski shop, and they are EPIC!

I talked to a guy at my local ski shop today about these, and he said that when he tried these skis they tend to nose dive a bit, therefore requiring a little farther back mounting position.

I am very close to your size. Go with the small if you will have minimal layers underneath (warm weather hiking). Go with the medium if you will have some layers underneath (skiing, cold weather hiking, etc.). I personally like the M better, I think the S is just too small for me.
